We're delighted to welcome Mackie Pharmacy, a family-owned chain of independent pharmacies, to the growing list of Pharmaself24 customers across Scotland.
Six of the Glasgow-based group's pharmacies will now be able to offer patients 24/7 access to their medicines, thanks to the addition of the Pharmaself24 collection points.
Proudly independent, Mackie Pharmacy is run by John-Paul Mackie, who acquired his first pharmacy in the Shawlands area of Glasgow in 1999. The group has grown since then on the basis of John-Paul's philosophy of putting "both community and employee well being at heart".
This is clearly reflected in the addition of the Pharmaself24s, which are able to support greater social distancing measures during the current pandemic.
Separately, John-Paul's sister, Professor Clare Mackie, has also recently installed a Pharmaself24 at her pharmacy in Dumbarton. Professor Mackie is Deputy Vice-Chancellor of Birmingham City University and was previously Founding Head and Pfizer Professor of the Medway School of Pharmacy.
