Well Pharmacy has championed the benefits of 24/7 medicine collection through the introduction of a Pharmaself24.
In a blog on the Well website, the pharmacy multiple talked of how the collection point has introduced choice and convenience for patients while supporting social distancing during the pandemic.
The Pharmaself24 was installed at Well Macclesfield Bollin House in September 2019 as part of a wider refit of the pharmacy. The number of people using the machine doubled during the first lockdown and a quarter of patients have now opted to collect their prescriptions outside of normal trading hours via the Pharmaself24.
Elizabeth Shackleton, Area Manager for Well Macclesfield Bollin House Pharmacy, said while collecting in person remained popular, not all patients are able to collect their prescriptions in store during working hours.
“With the coronavirus pandemic and people doing their best to socially distance and stay safe, our medication vending machine has been the perfect solution to give customers the option to collect their NHS prescriptions 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – whenever is convenient for them without having to come into the pharmacy.”
Well has been part of the Pharmaself24 family since 2018 and we are delighted that the Macclesfield Bollin House branch has seen such success with medicine collection.
